Ambra Fabi is an architect and co-founder of Piovenafabi studio, with Giovanni Piovene. Graduated from the University of Mendrisio, she worked at Peter Zumthor’s atelier and freelancer in Milan. She’ has been assistant professor at the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio and has been teaching at KU leuven and IED Cagliari. She currently teaches at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture at Marne-la-Vallée in Paris.

Led by Johan Anrys and Freek Persyn, 51N4E is an international Brussels-based practice, founded in 2000, that aspires to contribute through means of design to social and urban transformation. They use the tools of architecture and design to construct dialogue settings around each project and generate knowledge along with all the parties involved, thus increasing collective intelligence and creating projects with a broader impact on society.
Bureau Architectures Sans Titre (BAST) was founded in Toulouse in 2013. Since then, an anonymous approach and a proactive research posture has been adopted to experiment with the diverse potentialities of each project. At each step of the design, solutions are found and contiguously questioned in an iterative way. Bast’ projects don’t follow a formal method, but instead develop in an evolutionary process that defines the identity of the french office.

Anne-Julchen Bernhardt and Jörg Leeser established their office around 2000 in Cologne (Germany). Understanding architecture as a critical practice,BeL Sozietät für Architektur is occupied with projects on every terrestrial scale, working in each one between the trivial and the sublime.

First known as a theorist, Tschumi exhibited and published The Manhattan Transcripts and wrote Architecture and Disjunction, a series of theoretical essays. A retrospective exhibition of his work debuted at the Pompidou Centre in 2014 and travelled to Basel and Shanghai.

Graduated from the University of Venice, Mion has had several professional experiences in different fields connected to architecture, from collaborating with the architecture photographer Hélène Binet in London, to working at Studio Mumbai in India and with Silvia Gmür Reto Gmür Architekten in Basel. Since 2018, she is an assistant professor at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture at Marne-la-Vallée in Paris.

Since the 70s, Colin Moorcraft has been writing on environmental issues, and their technological and design implications. Author of “Must the Seas Die”, he was guest editor in 1972 of special edition of Architectural Design (AD) dedicated to the theme of that year’s RIBA conference “Designing for Survival”.
Founded in 2015 in Mexico City by Mariana Ordóñez Grajales. In 2017 the architect Jesica Amescua Carrera, joins the team. The studio believes in architecture not as an object but rather a participatory social process, alive and open, that allows villagers to express their ideas, needs and aspirations, always placing them at the center of projects. Cristina Goberna is an architect founding director of Epic Architecture and Fake Industries Architectural Agonism. In addition, she’s also an academic (The Cooper Union, MIT, GSAPP, Sydney UTS) a PhD candidate in Philosophy, Art and Critical Thought at the European Graduate School (Saas-Fee, Switzerland), in Architecture at the ETSAB (Barcelona, Spain). Cristina is also taking part of a fellow programme NEW INK at the New Museum in New York.

David Holmgren is best known as the co-originator of the permaculture concept following the publication of “Permaculture One” (1978), being globally recognised as a leading ecological thinker, teacher, writer and speaker that promotes permaculture as a realistic, attractive and powerful alternative to dependent consumerism. Key publications include Permaculture: Principles and Pathways Beyond Sustainability (2002), Future Scenarios: How Communities Can Adapt To Peak Oil and Climate Change (2009) and RetroSuburbia: the downshifter’s guide to a resilient future (2018).
After working at several European offices including Herzog de Meuron, Caruso St John architects and 6a architects in London, dePaor and Grafton architects in Dublin, David Leech established his own practice. The office is interested in exploring the idea of a richly economic architecture. David teaches architecture at the London Metropolitan University, and has been published widely including in the italian magazines Domus and Casabella, the Architectural Review and the Architects Journal from London, and Architecture Ireland.
Architect, planner, writer, educator, and principal of atelier Venturi, Scott Brown and Associates in Philadelphia. She taught at Berkeley, Yale, Harvard, Philadelphia and Los Angeles universities, becoming known in urban and campus planning. Her projects and ideas have influenced designers and thinkers worldwide. Scott Brown has received several awards throughout her career, beginning in 1979, with National Association of Schools of Art Citation, from Moore College of Art, to Jane Drew Prize for Women in Architecture, in 2017, and, most recently, the Lisbon Architecture Triennale Lifetime Achievement Award. Alongside her late husband, she developed important projects and her contribution to architecture was also recognized with thirteen honorary degrees, among the many essays, articles and publications. From her selected articles and publications, Learning from Las Vegas is still a crucial reference.
Dhooge and Meganck Architecture was founded in 2015 but their expertise goes much further back in time, when they met at Ghent University in 2000. David worked at the TV Stéphane Beel – Xaveer De Geyter and at Stéphane Beel Architects (SBA). Saar first worked at Prof. Dr .Ir.- Arch. Firmin Mees, where she actively participated in the reconversion of the Thermal Power Station to the Student House of the Ghent University and the Museum Center Tour of Flanders.
Co-founder and head of the Jaap Bakema Study Centre at Het Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam, Van Den Heuvel researches on the intersections of architecture, welfare state planning and modernity. With an expertise on post-war modern architecture and planning, Dirk is also an Associated Professor at TU Delft. He is a editorial member of VLC Arquitectura from Valencia University, editor of OASE (Dutch Journal for Architecture) and a regular writer. His last book, from 2018, is “Jaap Bakema and the Open Society”. He was part of Venice Biennale 2014, as the curator of the Dutch national pavilion.

Founder and director of Éric Lapierre Experience (ELEx) – with works widely recognized, not only for his projects but also his critical essays. Éric Lapierre teaches at the National School of Architecture of Marne-la-Vallée (Paris), at the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne and was a guest lecturer at the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio, University of Montréal (UdM), Université du Québec à Montréal ) and KU Leuven in Ghent.

Her work varies in scale and supports used, through a minimalist aesthetics of form, color and texture.
Fosbury Architecture (FA) is an Italian collective of architectural design and research based in Milan and Rotterdam, founded in 2013. They engage in a wide range of projects, from urban strategies to domestic environments, from independent fanzines to labyrinths. F.A’s work was awarded in several competitions and they will be presented at the 1st Biennale d’architecture et de paysage Versailles and at the Triennale di Milano, as curators of the Urban Center pavilion in 2019.
Fosco Lucarelli is an architect, professor, and curator. He is currently based in Paris where he has co-founded the practice Microcities and the website Socks-studio. He teaches design studios and theory courses at the EAVT, in Paris and at the EPFL in Lausanne. He was 2017-18 D.A.Garofalo fellow at the UIC School of Architecture in Chicago; he was the recipient of a grant from the Graham Foundation and was a fellow at the American Academy in Rome. Together with his partner Mariabruna Fabrizi, he has been guest curator at the 2016 Lisbon Architecture Biennale. Currently, he is a member of the curatorial team for the Lisbon Triennale 2019. His works have been awarded and exhibited in New York, Paris, Rome, Orléans, Seoul, Chicago.
Architect currently living and working in Brussels. Cane directs her research around metropolitan development processes. Through a thesis and upcoming published essays about Tirana, she reports on an isolated observation of the form and aesthetics of the political, commercial and social city. Her other projects are mainly oriented towards curatorial practice in architecture.
Francesca Torzo studied in Delft, Barcelona, Mendrisio and Venezia, starting her own office in Genova in 2008. Since 2017 she’s a teacher at Bergen School of Architecture and a lecturer at a number of universities and cultural institutions. In 2018 she participated at the 16th Venice Architecture Biennale – Freespace – and was appointed Chairman of MVSF in Gent.
Architect and educator at Berlage Center, TU Delft, and the Rotterdam Architecture Academy he worked with the Office for Metropolitan Architecture, DOGMA, and the Roma Tre University. He is a founding member of the research collective The City as a Project, the think tank Behemoth Press, and Matteo Mannini Architects. Marullo’s work has been internationally exhibited and featured in various architectural publications, and in 2018 he was the coauthor of the book Tehran: Life within Walls.
Portuguese architect based in Basel, he’s the founder and editor of CARTHA Magazine and of Publishing in Architecture, an online archive and series of temporary installations focusing on the relation between publishing and architecture. Francisco is principal of A Forschung and teaching assistant at the ETH Zürich.
Graduated as an architect in Milan Politecnico (1969), Franco Raggi worked in architectural magazines as editor in Casabella, and editor in chief of MODO design magazine. Besides, he has a large experience in curatorship with at IDZ (Italian Radical Design) in 1972, Milan Triennale, Venice Biennale between 1973-1981. Raggi works as architect and designer for several companies, focusing in different areas such as designing furniture, lighting projects and installations. Raggi is also teaching Interior Design at ISIA – Istituto Statale di Livello Universitario, in Florence. His works are exhibited in Milan Triennale Design Museum, FRAC Centre Orleans, Centre Pompidou and Moma. He was one of the directors of Ornamento e Delitto, exhibited during Triennale 2019 as a world premiere restoration.
Upon graduating from the ENSACF (École Nationale Supérieure d’architecture de Clermont-Ferrand) with a degree in architecture and from the EAVT (École d’Architecture de la Ville et du Territoire, Paris-Est), he has recently launched himself as illustrator, in collaboration with architects, researchers and as independent artist. He regards the hand-drawings as his main communication, sharing and creation tool. He’s the author of the timeline that represents the history of agriculture and architecture.
He worked on atelier 51N4E in Brussels, from 2014 to 2018, on urban and architectural projects, as well as various exhibitions and publications and teaches at ETH Zurich, as a part of Studio An Fonteyne. His dissertation, from ENSAPLV in 2016, was entitled The Landscape as Battlefield, and proposes a critical reflection on space as an aesthetical construct under iconographic influence, with which he initiated an ongoing research trajectory mixing theory with spatial practice.
Gianni Braghieri is Emeritus professor and has founded, in 1999, the Architecture’s School at University of Bologna. He has been professor at Princeton University and at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. His work has been exhibited at main architectural events: Biennale of Venice (1979-1991-1992), Triennale of Milan (1973-1981) and MOMA of New York (2008-2009). The last main project built in Milan is the waste water treatment plant (1986-2002-2009). In 2007 has been edited a complete monography of his works, shown in Ravenna, Villa Nazionale at Stra (Venice), Palermo, Napoli, Cesena, Firenze, Reggio Calabria and Bogotà (Colombia). Currently, Gianni Braghieri’s work is displayed Centre Pompidou, MoMa, CCA Montreal and DAM. Together with Franco Raggi, he directed the film Ornamento e Delitto, which had its restoration world premiere for the Triennale 2019.
Architect, editor, and curator. She joined the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA) in 2005 as Curator for Contemporary Architecture, and in 2014 she was appointed Chief Curator. Since 2006 she’s been exhibiting and publishing works, including What About Happiness on the Building Site? (2017). Her research is focused on contemporary architecture discourse, with a particular attention to alternative ways of practicing and evaluating architecture and how environmental, political, and social issues influence today’s urbanism and built environment.
Giovanni Piovene graduated in Architecture in Venice and founded, with Ambra Fabi, the studio Piovenefabi. In 2007, he co-founded the Salottobuono office and in 2010 co-founded San Rocco magazine and commissioned the book and the exhibition “Book of Copies” (2014). He has been teaching assistant at the Accademia di Architettura de Mendrisio and a member of the FORM unit at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). He currently teaches at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture in Marne-la-Vallée in Paris.

Javier F. Contreras is a Spanish architect, critic and dean of the Department of Interior Architecture at HEAD-Genève. He studied architecture at the Madrid School of Architecture (ETSAM). In 2015 he was finalist in the 10th arquia/tesis competition with his PhD thesis The Miralles Projection: Thinking and Representation in the Architecture of Enric Miralles. Contreras has lectured on architectural design at different institutions. His critical essays have been published in different specialised media, including Massilia Annuaire des Études Corbuséennes, Perspectives in Metropolitan Research, Princeton 306090, CIRCO, Drawing Matter, Bitácora, ZARCH, RA Revista de Arquitectura.
His work explores the visual perception and phenomenology of space and its subsequent cultural and psychological implications. With a bachelor in Fine Arts from Pontificia of Chile and a master in sculpture in the Royal College of London, he has been awarded with the Land Securities Award for his thesis. Blum’s work is part of both public collection of the Royal College and the Chilean Government and private collections in Chile, Germany, United Kingdom and Peru.
He founded his studio in 2014, developing a series of projects manifesting different scales of art, scenography and architecture. Jean-Benoit Vétillard is now teaching at the École d’Architecture de la Ville et des Territoires de Paris-Est. Besides his work in the studio, he has been a guest speaker at several conferences in Italy and France and his projects have been published in specialist magazines.
Architect and writer, he co-founded DIS-cour.se, an organization aimed at promoting critical architectural discussion in Melbourne. He works with with several groups, spanning from architectural curation, film, and audio exploration. Carter was distinguished with the Schiff Foundation Critical Architectural Writing Fellowship by the Art Institute of Chicago in 2017 and was published in journals and featured in the 2017 Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism.
Jo Taillieu is among others a manager and teaches design, but first and foremost he’s an architect, leading the office Jo Taillieu architecten since 2004 after working with different international architecture studios. The practice evolved in 2009 to a collaboration with Jan De Vylder and Inge Vinck, with whom he has been leading the office architecten de vylder vinck taillieu for ten years. In 2018 ‘dvvt’ won the Silver Lion for Promising Young Participant at the 16th Biennale of Venice and was one of the five finalists for the Mies van der Rohe Award 2019. Since 2019 Taillieu shifted the main focus to jo Taillieu architecten again, next to the joint projects at ‘advvt’.
Graduated from FAUP in 2013, she has co-developed editorial and research programmes such as the Porto Urban Festival Re-Act and Battle of Ideas International Events. Joana worked with Rebelo de Andrade from 2015 to 2018, collaborating on the House 3000 (the first zero-energy house built in Portugal) and co-editing the studio’s first monograph.
Architect and teacher at ISCTE (Portugal) and Architectural Association (UK. He studied at FAUP, ETSAB and a holds a doctorate from Princeton University. He already worked as a curator for exhibitions such as Venice Architecture Biennale and Garagem Sul – CCB, and works as a regular contributor for Architects Newspaper. As a result of his curatorship and editorial work in architecture, he published the book “The University is Now on Air” in 2018.
Joëlle Zask is a professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Aix-Marseille. Expert in social philosophy, she studies the conditions of a shared democratic culture. In addition to articles she is the author of several books, the most recent of which are La démocratie aux champs (Ed. la Découverte, 2016), Quand la place devient publique (Le Bord de l’eau, 2018) and Quand la forêt brûle (Ed Premier Parallèle, 2019).

Kensuke Koike is a Japanese visual artist, who began his art studies in Venice (Italy) first attending the Academy of Fine Arts and then the IUAV University also in of Venice. Koike incorporates many ways of expression: painting, sculpture, collage; installations and video art. He has exhibited widely including more recently at the A plus A Gallery (Venice), Postmasters Gallery (New York), Rossana Ciocca Gallery (Milan), IMA gallery (Tokyo), Yancey Richardson Gallery (New York), Design Museum (London), Asama International Photo Festival (Tokyo) and Museum of Art (Guangdong).
Kersten Geers graduated in Architecture and Urbanism at the University of Ghent, Belgium and at the Escuela Tecnica Superior de Arquitectura in Madrid, Spain. He worked with Maxwan Architects and Urbanists and with Neutelings Riedijk Architects in Rotterdam. Kersten Geers was professor at the University of Ghent, and visiting professor at Columbia University, NYC, and the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio, and is currently teaching at the EPFL, Lausanne and Harvard Graduate School of Design. He is a founding member of the architecture magazine San Rocco.

Djamel Klouche, Caroline Poulin and François Decoster are architects and urbanists, cofounders of l’AUC, a Paris based architecture and urbanism office. Djamel Klouche teaches at Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Versailles and François Decoster at National University of Singapore. Laurent Esmilaire has been working at Éric Lapierre Experience since 2011 and has been an assistant professor at the Architecture School of la Ville et des Territoires de Marne-la-Vallée since 2014. Graduated in Architecture since 2009, he works as a coordinator of several projects since 2011, specialized in design and construction.
Lawrence Weiner’s texts have appeared in all sorts of places over the last five decades, and although he sees himself as a sculptor rather than a conceptualist, he is among the trailblazers of the 1960s to present art as language. While Weiner’s works exist only as language and can be displayed in any form, he is closely involved in manifestations, detailing the size of the font, the surface texture and placement of the paint or vinyl letters and indeed often inventing new fonts.
Currently living and working in Berlin, Leonor Antunes was born in Portugal and studied Fine Arts at Lisbon University and at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Kunste, Karslruhe. She’s exhibited all over the world: Mexico, United Kingdom, USA, France, Switzerland and Portugal. Furthermore, her work has been included in biennials such as Venice (2017), United Arab Emirates (2015), Berlin (2014), Fellbach (2013) and Singapore (2011). The artist seeks to understand the construction principles behind rational designs, as well as the process of abstracting reality through its reduction to geometry. Her work reflects on the functions of everyday objects, contemplating the potential of Modernist forms to be materialized as sculptures.
Founded in 2012 in Paris by Ido Avissar, LIST is focused in architecture, urban planning and research. The studio develops an approach that conciliates architectural practice and research, which aims to position itself between disciplines rather than within a set framework. Their work ranges from territorial to metropolitan scale projects, architecture and landscape projects.

She studied Fine Arts in Pontificia of Chile and her master degree in fashion is from the Goldsmiths University of London. Since 2017, she’s focused in the areas of fashion research and thesis supervisor at Universidad Andres Bello, in Chile.
Mariabruna Fabrizi is an architect, professor, and curator. She is currently based in Paris where she has co-founded the practice Microcities and the website Socks-studio. She taught design studios and theory courses at EAVT, in Paris and at the EPFL in Lausanne. Currently, she is head of the Architectural Drawing and Representation Department at the EAVT, in Paris. Together with her partner Fosco Lucarelli, she has been guest curator at the 2016 Lisbon Architecture Biennale. Currently, she is a member of the curatorial team for the Lisbon Triennale 2019. Her works have been awarded and exhibited in New York, Paris, Rome, Orléans, Seoul, Chicago.
After working for ten years as an architect, Martin Etienne decided to devote himself entirely to drawing and illustration. Since 2010, he’s working as freelance illustrator for many offices in architecture, urban planning and landscape design. He also works as a cartoonist for French magazines and newspapers.
Martina Bjorn is a photographer and creative director. Born in Sweden and educated in Paris, where she graduated from the academy of fine arts; architecture in 2008. She is now based in Brussels where she lives. Martina’s body of work, spans from fashion houses, artists, art & design institutions, magazines, and architectural firms on, of varying medium & scale. She seeks to create elegant and understated images uses the abstract and reduced language.
Agricultural engineer and Director of the Charles Léopold Mayer Foundation for the Progress of Humankind. For this institution, he converted his rural estate from the Ferme de la Bergerie (Val d’Oise-France) to sustainable management. In this capacity, he was also President of the Technical Institute of Organic Agriculture (ITAB) for three years. His research gave rise to Understanding agroecology: origins, principles and policies, referred to in the exhibition, which questions the coverage of agroecology as a common term for a more environmentally friendly alternative model.

Ortalli Verrier is an architectural office founded by Gaëlle Verrier and Giacomo Ortalli. Since then, the office work has developed in the fields of architecture, urban research and design. Both of them are teaching at the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio and at Politecnico in Milano and worked at Peter Zumthor’s atelier.

During her career, she built projects for several exhibitions and, in 2018, was part of the Chicago Biennial.
She is the Director of the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum and was previously Director of Tate Britain where she oversaw the Caruso St John Millbank project. Penelope Curtis has written on modern architecture, including the work of Chamberlin, Powell and Bon, and Patio & Pavilion (Ridinghouse/Getty 2007) and is the co-curator of Art on Display at the Gulbenkian.
Swiss architect and visual artist. Since 2014, Schaerer is visiting professor at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL). His work has been object of multiple publications and exhibitions and being represented in several collections, among others in the MoMA New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the ZKM in Karlsruhe.

The work of Brussels-based artist Richard Venlet combines sculpture, exhibition design and
architecture. He has produced numerous projects that form composite and circuitous environments, redirecting the viewer in altered spatial configurations, making him see his surroundings anew and become part of it. As an artist who deliberately intervenes with the exhibition space, Venlet reaches further into architectural production through regular collaborations with artists, architects, curators and art-institutes.

Born in London in 1949, Robin Collyer lives in Canada since 1956. He’s been working with photography, sculpture and public works and his first solo exhibition was in 1971. Over the past two decades, his work in photography and three-dimensional assemblages have responded to a world which has moved from analogue to digital.
Sam Jacob is principal of Sam Jacob Studio for architecture and design, a practice whose work spans scales and disciplines from urban design through architecture, design, art and curatorial projects. Professor of Architecture at University of Illinois at Chicago and Visiting Professor at Yale School of Architecture, he was co-curator of the British Pavilion in Venice (2014). Columnist and critic for the online platform Dezeen and Art Review as well as contributing editor for Icon magazine. He was founding director of FAT Architecture, a London based practice developing a critical thought about architecture and relationship to history and ornament.

Architect, artist, educator and founder of the chilean art and architecture studio Pezo von Ellrichshausen. She’s a teacher at Cornell University and has taught at GSD Harvard University and the Illinois Institute of Technology. Her work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, the Art Institute of Chicago, the MoMA in New York, and the Venice Biennale, where she has also been the curator of the Chilean Pavilion and jury member for the International Architecture Exhibition.

Active at the crossroad between photography, art and architecture, Stefano Graziani contributes with an unconventional voice to the contemporary artistic discourse. His photos have been exhibited internationally at institutions such as Fondazione Prada in Milan, the Venice Architecture Biennale or the European Art Biennial Manifesta. Stefano currently teaches photography at Venice University and at Istituto Superiore para a Industrie Artistiche, in Urbino.
The studio works at all architectural scales with the same rigor, making possible to permanently question the practice, pushing the team out of its comfort zone and finding solutions to certain questions. Studio SNCDA surrounds itself with external experts feeding reflections developed in the various projects, such as a collaboration with the Dutch graphic designer Karel Martens.
Based in Rome, Supervoid was founded in 2016 by Benjamin Gallegos, Gabilondo and Marco Provinciali. Their projects covers various scales and different territories, from Italy to United States. Currently, they are working on the redevelopment of the Tenuta della Mistica in Rome, the winning design for the Punta Spadillo lighthouse rehabilitation in Pantelleria and the project of EU Pavilion for the Architecture Biennale in Venice 2020. They’ve been published projects and essays on international magazines.
Tatiana Macedo studied Fine Arts at Central St Martins College of Art & Design in London and Visual Anthropology at FCSH Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She works mainly with photography, film and installation on their expanded fields. As an artist, she was resident in Berlin and exhibited at Culturgest (Porto), Galeria Carlos Carvalho in London and Paris Photo. Her film, Seems so long ago, Nancy (2012) was shot at Tate Britain and Tate Modern, London, winning the first SAW Film Prize by the American Anthropological Association. She is the invited artist to the exhibition Natural Beauty, with photographs of European architectural exemplary works for Lisbon Triennale 2019.
Architect since 2017, he worked in Mexico and Geneve between 2013 and 2015. Nowadays he’s research assistant at HEAD Geneve in Lausanne, and independent architect at dériaz | buache office, focusing in art, design and architecture through the platform of experimentation of the collective plans in Gevene. Buache’s master’s project was awarded with the SIA Award 2017, the B&G Engineers Award 2017 and the GCO Distinction 2018.
A London-based practice which considers that it is possible to have a creative modern architecture with traditional virtues. They enjoy a reputation as one of the most interesting classical practices of their generation. They direct the only architectural degree course in Europe to teach the principles and application of the classical language of architecture, at Kingston School of Art, London.
A militant faction founded by three Belgian architects: Léone Drapeaud, Manuel León Fanjul and Johnny Leya, which uses architecture and fiction as analytical, critical and subversive tools to emphasize contemporary issues and dissect their resolutions. The collective alternates between cynicism and enthusiasm all the while advocating for critical thinking and a multi-disciplinary approach to architecture.

Truwant + Rodet is an office based in Basel (Switzerland), founded by Charlotte Truwant and Dries Rodet. Their projects, research and interests span between architecture, landscape urbanism, art and design. A sculptor as much as a painter, Valérie Mannaerts has developed a personal language characterized by her fascination with the real and the surreal, by exploring the physiognomic qualities of things, questioning the relation between organic and inorganic forms, the presence and autonomy of objects. Mannaerts creates hybrid, contradictory and precarious forms that are open to chance and formally circumscribed. Her work dwells in the borderline between image and object, in ways that are reminiscent of surrealist and, later, feminist preoccupations with material and image culture, corporeality and states of consciousness.

In 2018 she co-edited The Architecture of the Architecture Magazine and Mediated Messages: Periodicals, Exhibitions and the Shaping of Postmodern Architecture.

YellowOffice, founded in 2008 and based is in Milan, is an architectural office with a particular focus on landscape architecture and urbanism.
