Carpintarias de São Lázaro

This project is located on Santana Hill, Lisbon’s historic area, facing São Jorge Castle, where a vibrant multi-cultural reality has been added to the tradition of Lisbon’s neighbourhoods over the years.
Since 2017, Carpintarias de São Lázaro are a new cultural centre of the city of Lisbon. Centre’s mission is to promote culture and contemporary arts, from visual arts to music, theatre and dance, cinema and gastronomy, in the heart of the Portuguese capital. The cultural centre proposes integration through culture, where creativity, innovation and multidisciplinary crossing create the opportunity to bring people, communities and knowledge together.
The programme focuses mainly on the various cultural areas, encouraging their intersection in a perspective of contamination, constituting a space for presentation and debate.
