MAAT–Central Tejo

The MAAT – Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology is one of the most recent cultural centre in the city of Lisbon. A space for debate, dialogue and critical thinking, offering an intense and diverse programme conceived for all audiences and ages, with national and international exhibitions by contemporary artists, architects and thinkers.
The MAAT also represents the EDP group’s intent to help revitalise the riverfront of Belém’s historic district. With this proposal, the Foundation has created a unique space in the city: an architectural narrative that is sensitive to its cultural heritage and future, offering, among other features, a pedestrian panoramic rooftop with a view for Tagus river and riverfront, in an iconic location.
