Pastry in performance at our Palace

Like architecture, the poetic and rational dimension of pastry is expressed through its own construction, incorporating a form of natural beauty. In this context, Sinel de Cordes Palace, which hosts one of the main exhibitions of Triennale 2019 – Natural Beauty – is now the new residence of the chef Ana Raminhos. With Natural Landscape, between 8 November and 1 December, you have one more reason to visit us, participating in this signature gastronomic laboratory. The project explores the relationships that are established between agriculture, food production and cities, proposing a reflection on the contemporary urban landscape and its reconnection with nature and biodiversity. A performative sensorial experience that materializes in the act of eating, with tasting sessions that take place from Friday to Sunday, between 16:00 and 17:30 and stimulate the discovery of textures, forms and rhythmic compositions through taste contrasts. Imagination and creativity are applied to pastry, to explore the relationships between organic matter, the body and the environment as integral parts of an ecosystem.

Who is Ana Raminhos?
Born in Lisbon in 1981 and graduated in Communication Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (2007). She began her professional career in graphic design. Since 2009, Ana has been professionally dedicated to restaurant pastry. A career developed between Lisbon, London, Barcelona and Amsterdam. Currently, she lives and works in Lisbon, where she develops a work around the act of eating promoting experimentation, exploring new formats, temporalities and spatialities.
